The two leaders discussed ways to advance bilateral ties and appreciated the close cooperation between the two countries in various multilateral fora, including the UN. In a bid to further strengthen their bilateral relationship, India and the UAE have inked 10 pacts for collaboration in key sectors like energy, infrastructure, investments, and management of archives, Foreign Secretary Vinay Kwatra said here on Wednesday.

The 10 memoranda of understanding and agreements were signed during the meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi had with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Tuesday.

An investment treaty was signed between India and UAE following a bilateral meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and UAE President Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan held on Tuesday.

India has signed both a Bilateral Investment Treaty and a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement with UAE, which are going to be a key enabler for further promoting investments in both countries.

On Prime Minister Modi’s ongoing visit to UAE, Foreign Secretary Vinay Mohan Kwatra says, “The Prime Minister arrived in Abu Dhabi yesterday in the afternoon on what is his 7th visit to this country. He was received by the President of the UAE, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and also accorded a ceremonial welcome at the airport. The leaders held detailed delegation level and one-to-one talks which covered the entire gamut of bilateral engagement between India and the UAE as well as the significant developments, regionally and globally. They also witnessed a transaction made using the Jeevan card and the Prime Minister congratulated the President with regard to the launch of UAE’s domestic Jeevan card, which is another significant step in financial sector cooperation between India and the UAE…There were 10 MoU agreements that were signed.”

In a significant milestone for the IMF Foundation, Professor Himani Sood, Co-founder, and esteemed figure shared insights on the successful execution of the 83rd event, titled ‘Sadbhavana Shrinkhala.’

The event was held at a church in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday, witnessing a gathering of over 200 Christian attendees.

The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, donated 13.5 acres of land in 2015 to construct the mandir.
